UK TV and Radio Voice Over, BigFish Media was formed in 2004 by BBC Radio 2 Newsreader and Professional voice-over artist Ricky Salmon and BBC TV Continuity Announcer Phil Vowels. Ricky Salmon has experience of voicing corporate and training videos, radio commercials and trailers, "on hold" telephone messages, IVR(voice prompts) and webpages. He is also a television continuity announcer for PLUS and a radio continuity announcer for World Radio Network. Phil Vowels is a Continuity Announcer for both BBC1 and BBC2 Television. He is an experienced BBC radio presenter, having presented and produced programmes for BBC Southern Counties Radio, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Radio Solent and a late night phone-in programme heard on all BBC radio stations across the South West of England.

You will probably already be familiar with his name and voice as Ricky Salmon is a freelance Newsreader for BBC Radio 2. He is also a voice-over artist with his own ISDN-equipped home studio in Surrey.

Ricky's corporate voice-over clients include Nokia, Canon, Cosmos Holidays, Olympic Holidays, Party Gaming, Fiat, Dell, PC World, Eli Lilly, Honda, Viacom, Reuters, KFC, British Airways and Southern Water. 

He has recorded voice-overs for commercials for Euronews TV, Channel TV, Absolute Radio, 95.8 Capital FM, Classic FM, Real Radio, Wave 105 and many more. 

Ricky has also appeared as the voice-over on training, sales and charity videos, shopping centre announcements, interactive cd-roms, dubbing, webpages and telephone "on-hold" messages.

He can be regularly heard as the voice-over on an "on hold" news service for clients which include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Vodafone, Parceline, the Carphone Warehouse and Kwikfit.

In 2006 Ricky co-hosted the British Council of Shopping Centres' Purple Apple Awards in London with Toyah Wilcox . Since 2001, Ricky has been a continuity announcer for the World Radio Network. He was also a television continuity announcer for Granada Plus (now ITV3) and a continuity announcer for BBC Radio 5. He has also worked as a presenter for the BBC Training Unit. 


Ricky also presents a music show on the Play Love stream of Play Radio on Sunday evenings, and on an ad-hoc basis for Play Two. 

Ricky is a member of the actors' union Equity.
